  1. I enjoyed listening to this episode and plan on calling it to the attention of the board members I’ll be speaking to next week at the CUES Director’s conference. I think all CU board directors and management should listen to Vice-Chair Hood’s comments. They touch on issues that certainly will be at the center of the credit union world in 2009. This week I posted about the new Treasury Secretary on the Boardcast. I discovered that Mr. Geithner has been a proponent of consoldating the regulatory bodies that monitor and regulate financial institutions. Vice-Chair Hood mentioned his(and NCUA’s) opposition to this. I hope that, as he stated, NCUA has been in dialogue with the new economic team regarding the uniqueness of credit unions. I commend you on this podcast. CIiCUs is among the most valuable online resource for Cus to keep current on issues effecting both policies and operations.
