Yesterday, my daughter and I attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for Unity Catholic FCU’s new branch. It was very well attended and the Mayor of the City of Brunswick, Dale Strasser, gave a speech and cut the ribbon. State Representative Bill Batchelder also made an appearance and talked about how much he believes in the value of credit unions. I made a short video of the event that you can watch below.
I enjoy attending branch openings and I particularly enjoy seeing credit unions grow and help the communities in which they do business prosper. The credit union’s CEO, Tamlyn Straight-Schervish and her staff did a terrific job with this event. My daughter enjoyed it because she won a stuffed bear for herself and another one for her sister.

Gret video! I love seeing credit unions succeeding. I put a video of our operations center opening on You Tube this summer. It would be great to have a CU You Tube Channel for credit unions.
